Week 12

Good Evening Perry Families,

Congratulations to our students who were honored this for this past Friday for being "respectful." We are very proud of you and congratulate you for your achievement!

  1. The Choice application period for school year 2019-2020 is now open and will close on November 13, 2019. Please see attached letter for more information regarding school choice enrollment. Choice Letter.pdf
  2. This month's character trait is trustworthy. The next award ceremony will be Friday, December 13. Each teacher will send out an invite if your child is being honored. Please discuss with your child at home the importance of being a trustworthy citizen. We appreciate your support.
  3. 5th grade students will be going through promotion at the end of this school year. Please see the attached letter regarding fund raising for this event. 5th GRADE END OF YEAR CELEBRATION FUNDRAISING.pdf
  4. Have you signed up for your parent conference yet? Parent conferences are next week. Please make sure you do your part by signing up for a parent conference with your teacher. Do not forget the entire week of school the week before Thanksgiving is early dismissal. Please make your calendar so that you know your child is getting out of school at 1:15pm!
  5. Kona Ice will be on campus on Friday, December 15! Kona Ice will be here after school. Please see the attached flyer for more information. Kona Ice.pdf
  6. Thank you for all those who are serving and have served in the Armed Forces. We thank you for your service. Do not forget that this Monday is Veteran's Day. School will be closed to honor this holiday. We will resume school on Tuesday, November 12.
  7. Family Friday this month will be the same day as our annual Turkey Trot. We are asking that K-1 parents join us from 9:15-10:15 on the blacktop. Grades 2-5 plus join us from 10:30-11:30 on the blacktop. Classrooms will not be opened on this Friday since we will be following the schedule for the Turkey Trot. Turkey Trot.docx
  8. Please be careful when leaving campus from Primetime. We have heard from several families that there have been coyotes near the parking lot.
  9. Please remember that no dogs are allowed on campus. We have students with severe allergies to dogs. The Board of Education acknowledges its responsibility to permit students and/or adults with disabilities to be accompanied by a service animal on school property and/or facilities and/or school functions as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act, 28 CFR Part 35 and applicable California law subject to the rules and procedures described in this regulation. All service animals need to be registered in the front office before coming on campus where service animal paperwork will be reviewed. Thank you for your consideration with this and keeping all students safe.
  10. Please remember that if you need to be on campus you must sign in at the front office. You must have a purpose for your visit on campus and be on the cleared volunteer list. Parents are not allowed to be roaming the campus at any time while classes are in session. Once again your child's safety is our top priority!
  11. We still need help during PE on Wednesday with our large classes. This Wednesday we will be having PE with K classes from 9:20-10:30, 2nd grade from 10:35-11:35 and 1st grade from 11:50-1:00. We would be happy to have extra help on these days.
  12. Pokémon cards are still coming to school. Please do not send your child to school with these cards. We will take them from students and keep them in the front office until a parent can pick them up. Thank you for your understanding.
