- Move within a large group with effort, focus, and safety, without falling or bumping into others, while using different locomotor skills.
- Create nonlocomotor shapes and animal movements.
- Balance demonstrating momentary stillness on 1 and 2 legs.
- Balance while walking forward on a narrow, elevated surface.
- Perform a continuous log roll and crawl like an alligator.
- Hang from the overhead bars with both hands for increasing periods of time.
- Climb the jungle gym and slide down the slide feet first on your bottom.
- Demonstrate the relationship between under/over, right/left, forward/backward, up/down, front/behind, next to/through, straight, zigzag, and curve.
- Walk, jog, run, hop, jump, side slide, and gallop using proper form.
- Strike a balloon with different body parts.
- Underhand self toss and catch before the ball bounces.
- Bounce a ball continuously using 2 hands.
- Perform movements to a steady beat and pattern.
- Kick a stationary object, using a simple kicking pattern.
- Identify the head, shoulders, neck, back, chest, waist, hips, arms, elbows, wrist, hands, fingers, legs, knees, ankles, feet, and toes.
- Participate 3-4 days each week in moderate to vigorous physical activities that increase the respiratory rate. Identify indicators of vigorous physical activity (sweating, increased heart rate, increased breathing, increased body temperature).
- Identify the location of the heart and that it is a muscle. Identify the location of the lungs and explain its role in the collection of oxygen.
- Demonstrate the characteristics of sharing in a physical activity.
- Understand and demonstrate speed levels 0, 1, 2, 3 and voice levels 0, 1, 2, 3.
- Combines locomotor and nonlocomotor skills in a teacher designed dance.
- Demonstrate warm up and cool down exercises.
