I was born in Fort Dix, New Jersey and lived on multiple Air Force bases around the world until my Father retired from the Air Force when I was in second grade. We moved to Chula Vista, California. I attended Cook Elementary, Hilltop Middle, and Hilltop High Schools.
I played baseball at Point Loma Nazarene University and earned my Bachelors degree in Physical Education. I continued my post graduate education at PLNU and earned my teaching credential and Masters degree in Education.
In the fall of 1996 I was hired to be the head baseball coach at Clairemont High School. I taught Physical Education and Resource classes until the fall of 2008. In September of 2008 I arrived at Perry Elementary and have been teaching Physical Education since.
I met my beautiful wife Anne in 1999 and we were married in 2000. We have an amazing son that was born in 2006. Anne and Jonah inspire me daily to be a great Father, Husband, and Teacher.
I feel blessed to be able to teach Physical Education in the Paradise Hills neighborhood. The entire Perry community has always welcomed me and made me feel like family.
